The Motor City born and raised Kevin Russell has a very unique blend of rock and soul. Kevin says: "It's a Motor City thing!" Kevin is a contemporary artist known in hip musical circles and by fans worldwide. He is a provocative player and his daring spirit is always apparent.
Moving to Hollywood to follow his dream, Kevin formed the now classic rock band 707. Scoring a couple of rock radio classics i.e. "I Could Be Good For You" and "Megaforce",

Later in the 80's Kevin joined forces with Billy Kreutzman and Brent Midland (Grateful Dead) to form Kokomo. They played sold out show after sold out show all around the U.S.
Shorlty after Kevin got together with Stray Cats members Slim Jim Phantom & Lee Rocker and fellow guitarist Earl Slick.(Phantom, Rocker and Slick) Kevin toured with the band and co wrote and played on their follow up record "Cover Girl"
Kevin and Clarence Clemons "The Big Man" became good pals in the Bay Area. They put a touring band together The Red Bank Rockers and hit the road. Playing too sold out crowds across the U.S. Their shows would often feature special guests like: Joe Walsh, Ringo, Bruce "The Boss", Jackson Brown, Jon Bon Jovi, Ritchie Sambora. etc.
Kevin also put together "The Keep" with Kiss drummer and longtime pal Peter Criss.
During this period Kevin was also getting calls to play on other artists records such as; Whitesnake, Clarence Clemons, Sea Hags, F. Machine, Levon Helm (The Band), Nils Logren (E St. Band),etc...Kevin has also done much TV and Films  work i.e. Levi's 501 Blues, Murder In Greenwich, Fall Into Darkness, Weird Science, No Small Affair, Nightmare on Elm St. Pt III and IV  and much more.....
In the 90's Kevin concentrated on playing rock/blues and producing many other rock/blues records for artists which included; Steve Hunter (David Lee Roth), Pat Travers, Leslie West, Frank Marino, Rick Derringer, Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big/David Lee Roth), George Lynch (Dokken), Ritchie Kotzen (Poison), Zakk Wylde (Ozzy), Steve Lukather, (Toto) Stu Hamm Joe Satriani), , Rick Medlocke .
In 2007 the smash Broadway hit show JERSEY BOYS called on Kevin’s talents in which he delivered night after night every performance not only all of the guitars heard in the show but also on stage for 5 scenes as well.
Next Kevin was asked to join The Hit Men All Stars  which includes former members of (Journey, Fleetwood Mac, Boston,Aerosmith, Nightranger, Dire Straits)

Kevin consistantly records and plays live shows. Kevin has recorded well over a dozen solo records as well as two 707 re-releases..
